The XROS Mini Retro is especially popular with beginners, ex-smokers and everyday vapers who want a small device that fits easily into a pocket or bag. It keeps things simple: no buttons, no screen, no confusing settings. Fill the pod, charge the device, and inhale to vape.
For anyone searching for a Vaporesso XROS Mini pod kit UK, beginner vape kit, refillable pod vape, or cheap Vaporesso pod kit, this device offers excellent value without feeling basic.
Why Choose the Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro Pod Kit?
The biggest appeal of the Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro Pod Kit is how simple it feels in everyday use. Many vape kits come with adjustable settings and multiple modes, but not every vaper wants that. Some people just want a device that works well every time.
The XROS Mini Retro uses an inhale-activated system, meaning there is no fire button. You simply draw on the mouthpiece and the device activates automatically. This makes it feel familiar for adult smokers moving away from cigarettes.
It also has a built-in 1000mAh battery, which is impressive for a small pod vape. For moderate users, this can comfortably support a full day of vaping, depending on usage habits and pod resistance.
Another reason this kit stands out is the design. Available in colours such as Baby Blue, Baby Pink, Baby Purple, Matter Silver, Dark Indigo, Space Black, Space Grey and Spring Green, the XROS Mini Retro looks modern while keeping a clean, compact shape.
What Pods Are Used with the Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro?
The Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro Pod Kit uses Vaporesso XROS refillable pods. These pods are widely used across the XROS range, making replacements easy to find and convenient to buy.
The kit is commonly paired with 2ml Vaporesso XROS pods, suitable for both nicotine salts and 50/50 freebase e-liquids. These pods are designed to deliver clean flavour and a satisfying mouth-to-lung vape, also known as MTL vaping.
Compatible XROS Pod Resistances
The XROS Mini Retro is compatible with several XROS pod resistances, including:
| XROS Pod Resistance | Best For | Recommended E-Liquid |
|---|---|---|
| 0.6Ω XROS Pod | Warmer vape, more vapour | 50/50 e-liquid or lower-strength nic salts |
| 0.8Ω XROS Pod | Balanced flavour and vapour | Nic salts or 50/50 e-liquid |
| 1.0Ω XROS Pod | Smooth everyday MTL vape | Nic salts or 50/50 e-liquid |
| 1.2Ω XROS Pod | Tighter cigarette-style draw | Nic salts or higher-strength 50/50 e-liquid |
For most beginners, the 1.0Ω or 1.2Ω XROS pods are the easiest starting point. They provide a tighter draw and work especially well with nicotine salts. Vapers who prefer a slightly warmer and more open inhale may prefer the 0.8Ω pod.

Is the Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro Good for Beginners?
Yes, the XROS Mini Retro is a strong beginner vape kit because it removes most of the common barriers new vapers face. There are no wattage controls to adjust and no complicated menus to understand.
Its refillable pod system also makes it more cost-effective than disposable vapes. Instead of throwing away the whole device, you only replace the pod when the coil performance drops. This can save money over time and gives users more choice over flavour and nicotine strength.
At £8.99, the Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro is also a low-cost way to start vaping with a trusted brand. Vaporesso is known for reliable pod systems, and the XROS range has become one of the most searched vape kit collections in the UK.
Best E-Liquids for the XROS Mini Retro
To get the best performance from the Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro, use 50/50 e-liquids or nic salt vape juice. These blends are thin enough to wick properly in XROS pods and are ideal for MTL vaping.
Nic salts are a popular choice because they provide a smoother throat hit at higher nicotine strengths. This makes them a good option for adult smokers switching to vaping. Freebase 50/50 e-liquids are also suitable, especially for users who prefer a more noticeable throat hit.
Avoid very thick high-VG e-liquids, as they may not wick efficiently in smaller MTL pods. Using the right e-liquid helps improve flavour, pod life and overall satisfaction.
